I chose this to be the cover of my book because I wanted to evoke the presence of the past. The back part of my cover is the courthouse were the trial took place and on top of that is the tree with the mockingbird, the most important symbol of this book. I wanted to make my cover seem old fashioned and give people the feeling of how things felt back then.
